How to use MSN for charity.

MSN has recently released a fun and easy way to help charity. Every time you have an instant messaging conversation using the i'm symbol, Microsoft shares a portion of the program's advertising revenue with some of the world's most effective organizations dedicated to social causes.

1. Download the latest version of Windows Live Messenger (8.1) here.

2. Click the arrow next to your screen name and select "Personal Settings".

3. Put one of these codes into your name:
*red+u - American Red Cross
*bgca - Boys & Girls Clubs of America
*naf - National AIDS Fund
*mssoc - National Multiple Sclerosis Society
*9mil - ninemillion.org
*sierra - Sierra Club
*help - StopGlobalWarming.org
*komen - Susan G. Komen for the Cure
*unicef - The US fund for UNICEF

4. Press enter, and you should see the symbol, and know you are helping charity.

PS: The "i'm" symbol is the same for every charity.
